Islander 2014 - REPORTS

The food was hella good. I have never eaten that much in a 3.5 day stretch ever.

Oh, and a big shout out to Kyle (Midwest Angler) who diagnosed and replaced my brake light switch in the hotel parking lot on Friday. Nothing like flying down I-5 at 80 mph with no brake lights.

The food was great!! Especially the sashimi the cook prepped for us.. I thing I gained forty pound!!  Wait that may be from my 140 dollar beer tab.

We shot tons of calicos and sheepshead! I have over four hundred pics but aint gunna resize them takes too long, we are working on A slideshow but its sixteen min long.  .. We will upload tonight after work.

I had a great time, even though the fishing was pretty slow overall.

The whole week is like a blur and I can't believe our trip started six days ago.

On Thursday Kiel and I got to the Dolphin at 2:00PM. Andy, Kris, Joe, and DP were already there.

i fished hard on this trip. had a steady bite for the most part. released a lot of fish and randomly kept some fish. good experience for me because i wanted to start doing a multi day trip once a year and got to break my cherry with my NCKA homies.

We got settled in and Kiel and I had some lunch at Fisherman's Landing, right across the street.

I had some mediocre chowder and some bomb ass grouper fish tacos.

I didn't take a single picture of any of my fish. Either the bite was too slow or way too red hot to stop and take a picture.

More and more of the homies started showing up throughout the day.

Shortly after we got there Chadrock, Tiny, and Midwest Angler showed up, followed shortly after by Rey and Victor.

The owner of the Dolphin came out and pretty much told us to do whatever the f**k we wanted.

So we did.

Apparently some of the other guests complained about the hoodlums hanging out in the parking lot. We didn't care, we just moved to the other side of the property.
