it started out really really cold this morning, only about 30 degrees. but we had a little over 30 people come out and grab some wristbands at the icy water at 7 o'clock.  so far it's been a somewhat disappointing day for some, I know racin rob had a 27 inch fish jump off the hog trough before he could take a picture of it. And Ron says that he lost three big fish at the boat.  as far as I know we have one self disqualification so far and its still cold. More updates to follow.

I got skunked during the tourney today which made it even colder than it was. I did manage a catfish after the tourney though.

My report is very similiar; no fishies for me! Only caught a lot of good memories chilling with the Sactown folks!

Tried a little bit of trolling, nada :smt011! Sent down some agents, zippo :smt012! throw out some cut bait, nope :smt009! Even did some jigging, but no love from the Port :smt010.

Had more fun on land chilling and BS'ing; got to see to of my favorite Sac girls who I haven't seen in a LONG while :smt007

Met some new faces; great to meet you Ron, Charlie and Martin!

Congrads to todays winners, it was a well fought battle! And to the Series winners too, great job!!!!

Hope to see you all soon!

I'm beat!  It was a great day and the winners really pulled out all the stops.
I'll post up the scores and who won what tomorrow evening when I'm awake, but untill then I'll leave you with the thought that NCKA got 2 new members today and one of them one the day with a pair of 31" salmon and a 5.5" bluegill!!  If it had not been for that bluegill, Ron "Ron" would have won it with 2 big stripers!!!

Way to go everybody, sticking it out in the cold was a challenge and everyone was tough  :)

I caught frost bite on my big toe and a nice buzz at the pizza place!!!

Always a kick ass time with NCKA bros!  Congrats to the winners in such restricting conditions.

Better start wearing the GoPro, Rob.

The kayak I was on today has no mount for he camera. I had a pair of gloves with a rubbery palm. The fish squirmed on the trough, I pressed down harder, and it squirted out like, well a wet fish on a Hawg trough. It was caught on a 6.5" Big Hammer behind a 4oz 8/0 lead head. Yep, 4oz. It got hit 20 times this morning and two stuck, one lost on trough, and one LDR. Also landed one on a minnow at 20+. Had a good time till I headed to the basin where the wind picked up. Never got cold this morning till I paddled into the wind. Thanks Jim for putting on the show. Lets do it again next year.

Thanks Jim for all of your hard work today. I had just as much fun hanging out with you and Dan while waiting for the other guys to come back in. Congrats to all the winners. So cool to be with my sac brothers and sisters today. The pizza get together was good too. I can't wait to see you all again soon.

No fish, no bites, no nothing but cold feet. All in all I was happy with my cold weather gear, but those dive boots ain't makin it. Congratulations to all that caught fish, today's winners and the series winners. I was at the port a couple weeks ago and did great, only to keep my streak of event skunks going strong today.  :smt013 I guess it's time to turn my attention to sturgeon fishing while I wait for Crabfest! Hope to see everyone there.
