  I'm right with Scott and don't get that surgery unless everything is tried including time….  So many fellow Firefighters I know have had so many surgeries, it's just not a good thing...

They were going to cut my back and neck open…  I decided to not to keep hurting myself fighting fires and picking up 400 lb people, 2 years later…  feeling a lot better…

Words of wisdom from one of my Doctors, and I have many.  "Go to a surgeon and you get a surgeon's answer Surgery" And Surgery should always be the last resort. As you might be better and maybe not. Health is like going to a Crap Game. It is all a roll of the dice, and you take your chances. I wish you well man.

That sucks Craig. I had the S1, L5, L4 issue and had a laminectomy surgery to repair the discs, with moderate results. It also ended with me being addicted to dilaudid. I have been off the dilaudid now for a long time, and what I take now is a non-narcotic medication. It is called nortryptaline, it is prescribed to kids that wet the bed, so there is one side-effect that we could all use as we get older! It took some time for it to work, I started with 25mg, then 50, and now take 100 mg and have been there for two years, and relatively pain free! I still over do it and wind up stoved up for a few days, but nothing like before. I would ask your doctor about it especially to avoid narcos. get well soon, and Merry Christmas.

Can't believe the T15 is still avail. I have seen this boat and $750 is a STEAL! If I didn't have a long-ish yak on the way I'd be all over that.

Hey Craig, time is really all that will help buddy. Heat and non painful light stretching as well. I just had my 3rd back surgery in the last 12 years. 5 months ago had a 3 level fusion at the L3-4-5. It might feel like it's never going to end, but stay positive it WILL get better.While you're laying down try a pillow under your knees.Try to enjoy the Holidays.

This boat has juju. The leg is doing much, much better. No fucking epidural shot. Heat was the absolute worst for the inflamed sciatic nerve. Stretching?  No way. Ice and rest. Plain old ice and rest. It drove me nuts and it ain't over yet but I have ben walking a mile each day for the last week. Yesterday I did two miles, stacked some wood, went shopping, cooked 6 dozen cookies and watched the Niners win. A hell of a great day. The leg was sore but in a good way kind of. Now someone buy this boat................... please. $700.00

P.S. Coming down off Norco fucking sucks. No pain meds at all for 4 days.

Quit showin off Craig!  glad your feeling better!  Narcotics are the worst.  ice, rest, ibuprofin, you're a strong young man and will be back and better than ever!

Glad u r off the pills..... You are a strong dude. I hope if I ever have any issues I have your strength to get thru it.

I'll take it Craig if you don't mind keep it for me over the holidays.  You can buy it back for the same price at anytime unless I'm out-of-work and need to sell it for some $$$
