I know what you're talking about.  I've sort of been "window shopping" lately and there isn't much.  It would allow me to take both girls out, but at this point it's just a pipe dream.

About a year ago, my father purchased a smokercraft that he loves.  The beam is not super wide, but they are deep.  I've been eyeing some up north in the Oregon area but they're in the $3k-$5K range.

A year ago I sold my mid ninetie s 14 ft Klamath with tiller steered 25 HP merc for $3000 and bought a 2006 14 ft Klamath deluxe for $6K with console steering. WAY easier to drive. I troll a fair amount and 8 hrs of tiller trolling and I was shot.  I am now selling the 2006 because I want to go with a 16 ft tin can. So if you are not firm on tiller take a look.

Is there a reason for wanting a tiller boat compared to a console steer?  I had both in a 15' Gregor at one time and the console steer was much easier and enjoyable to fish out of due to the flat floor with no seats to step over.  The tiller boat was less expensive and easier to find though.

I like the floor room and some what lighter weight and the less expense is a factor too.I have found a few boats that would work for  me except they have no electric start, found one in Oklahoma for a killer price with a 30 hp merc,no  electric start,my rotator cuff injury  wouldnt put up with that long.

Ppickel , that is a nice boat and maybe i should try  a steering wheel model once, but your boat is a little out of my budget, you wont have a problem selling it when you  want to .
