I need some fishing buddys, the problem is that i have a jackson coosa and im not sure if i can use it well down here.  I love bass fishing, stripers, and sturgeon fishing.   I think i would like to try fishing for crab and cod also.

There are a lot of NCKA in the tri valley, only a few that target stripers or LMB though. Get an east bay parks pass. Del Valle has a decent striper fishery but not great. Chabot has some decent LMB fishing. The delta, Berryessa and the forebay would be the closest for better quality fishing. If you attend the salmon slam or a HOW event, a lot of the east bay crew will be there. Welcome to the east bay. The coosa should be fine for everything except for long ocean trips where a longer boat is better. For rockfishing and surf launch, I use a 12' Eddyline and it is great.

Welcome to the valley Jimmy.  I don't kayak fish much during the winter but won't mind going for stripers in Del Valle or the delta if the time is right.

Welcome to the madness Jimmy.  If you ever decide to hit the water for stripers, post a hookup and maybe some of us can join you.

Madness indeed... welcome, Jimmy! I'm in Hayward, and usually have free time in the mornings to fish, would be happy to join you on the water...

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the info and responses.  I am going to check out the east bay parks pass to see what that is all about.  I will also try to keep an eye out for any hookups.

thanks,
Jimmy
