Biggest striper (total length) takes all. FreshKATS rules apply, and fish caught within the posted restricted areas of the port are ineligible.

I will have some non participant taking bets at tourney check in.

Does the restricted area DQ apply to the tourney as well? I wanted to enter the bet but I plan to fish anywhere I don't get asked to leave by security. Will the DQ area be measured out 100 ft from the docks? I think that might prove difficult.

I don't know what Jim's rules are about the posted restricted areas.  However, fish caught 100 ft from the posted docks will be ineligible for entry into the side pot. As I rule I do not fish these areas during contests, because most tourneys ask that all laws and regulations be followed (which is implied if not explicitly stated).

It shouldn't be difficult.  There are lots of fish in the DWC, and I usually place at Port contests without fishing the restricted areas.

Probably should add that to the rules section since it only mentions Ca DFW. We don't want anyone to be DQued  because it wasn't included in the official rules section.
