I'd like to go somewhere besides Linda Mar or Half Moon Bay. Bean Hollow? Pescadero area ? Año Nuevo ? Sunday is looking the best for me now, but there is a possibility that I could go on Saturday.

scott, I'm going saturday. bean hollow would be the launch. I'd like to get out to deeper water >120 off pescedero and fish the big jigs.

forecast right now is light SW winds, no swell of interest, pretty ideal.

if it's super foggy, I will go elsewhere, probably south. I have GPS, but I don't like thick fog.

probably shoot for a 6:30 a.m. launch.

my cell is six-five-oh two-two-four twenty-two ninety, feel free to call saturday morning while en-route to compare launch notes.

John,

Let me see if I can swing Saturday.

I too would like to hit some deeper water with big baits, just to see what's out there and biting. I'm also planning on bringing a trout rod for schooling blues/blacks if there are any that are 20-40 feet deep.

when I was out there with a. tani and crew in 160ft a couple weeks back, a chrome 10.5 oz salas PL-68 caught me a 21" vermillion, a copper close to the same size and a 27" ling in about 30 minutes. so there are fish out there. But I see good reports on coastside in shallower too.

Guys,  Just took Aiden to Ano today to check out the Elephant seals.  Along the way I checked out some beaches. The one area that got me thinking was Pigeon Point. Two party boats worked the area in easy paddle distance. Not to mention a lot of water structure around.  Looks like a good place to launce.  I only have a few hourse on Friday that is why LM is my prime choice. Sunday if I get the go ahead I wouldn't mind trying something further south.

I've never launched out of there. I know that place can be very productive.
I'd love to go but I've never launched out of areas with large waves.

ark, pescadero has one spot that is real easy and doable.  all the other spots are all about timing your launch and landing.

Ok - I'm out there tomorrow, Sunday. There was a tossup for who was going to take my aunt to the airport this morning at 7:00, and my wife and I won.

I'll be at Bean Hollow at 5:30 AM. hoping to get on the water at 6:00.  I'll have a radio on 69, and hopefully numbers from Alan Tani.

Regards,
Scott

Scott, the spot just north of bean hollow has a real easy launch if you walk out to the right of the circle and look down.  You wait for the little waves to pass the rock and shoot out.

Of course, I'm talking about the parking lot right before Bean Hollow.

Bean hollow is a little crazy but I'll check it when I get there.  I drive a maroon tundra with yakima truck racks.  Blue tarpon160/yellow blades on paddle.    Probabley show around 630 or 700 am
