Rancho Seco 8/15/06

Back in my local waters. On the water at 7:45am, off 12:30. Surf was nice and flat so it was an easy launch.

Caught 3 lmb next to the north ramp within minutes. I thought it would be a great day, but it went dead after that. Worked my way across the dam to the south shore and headed east. Caught one more on the south east side. All on Senkos and all real close to the bank. Decided to leave as the wind was picking up. Two other boats on the lake.





Caught this one in the weeds next to the bank. Fat as a football.

The quality wasn't there like last year (2 over 11 #'s, plus a couple of 8-9#ers) but it was a nice night to fish.  Unfortunately I lost the tourney winning fish

Gordon, Sorry to hear you lost the big one.

I received a fishsniffer pm from one of the guys and he mentioned the swim area. I never would have guessed that was a hot area at night.
