Anybody seeing Black Friday adds yet?

I'm in the market for a FF, a couple of Trout Rods, and some camping gear.

The Humminbird deals seamed good although I didn't do a lot of research. Anyone find anything else at Fatwallet that seemed kayak fishing related?

I looked at the outdoor related stores, and found nothing Kayak related at all. Gander Mountain has a lot of fishing gear though.

You have to keep checking back as they post new ones as they come up. Last year I recall Dick's, Bass Pro and Cabelas.

I signed up for email alerts so I don't have to keep checking the site.

I'm really hoping someone has a deal on a Elite 5 HDI ....

The BPS add is up. They have an Elite-5 DSI Base model for $300. I know a lot of people use this one, but am wondering if it's worth the extra $200 for the Elite-5 HDI?

Depends wheere, or how deep, you fish.  The DSI is great for shallow water if that is all you do.  If you do both, then go for the HDI since it has Broadband AND DSI in 1 unit.  We will see a lot of deals this Holiday season on the DSI and the standard Elite 5 models since the Elite 5 HDI is replacing both of these.  :smt002

Thanks FFTC.

I mostly fish Fresh water reservoirs no deeper than 100'. I know little about Sonar, since this will be my first unit.

It's a huge price difference between the two. So I really gotta do my homework.

Both the elite 5 and dsi have already been discounted at most retailers, if your waiting for black Friday, you may have already missed the boat.
As of Saturday, I have 1 elite 5 and 2 dsi remaining in stock.

I service a number of West Marine stores in the bay area pertaining to the Lowrance & Simrad lines of product.  Yes, these units are becoming "scarce" but still presently available through some retailers.  I'll do some research & see if I can find out more about possible availabilities come B.F.

As for this unit vs. the Broadbad.  100 FOW in fresh wayter is not an issue for the DSI unit.  Saltwater, meh, 100 is about the most I shoot with my Elite 7 in DSI mode before switching to Broadband.  The DSI is GREAT for definition & structure but it DOES take a little getting used to what you are looking at on the screen.  It isn;t your tranditional image.
