I've received a confirmation from DFW that the 2014 Rockfish/Lingcod season from boats in the Mendocino Management Area will open on Thursday, May 15th, 2014.

Gimme Shelter Eighth Annual Kayakfishing Tournament will be on Saturday, May 17th, 2014.

I just booked my suite at The Tides from Thursday to Monday.  The manager should get back to me soon to say whether we'll get the 3-nights-for-the-price-of-2 deal as in years past.  I'll post up that information when I have it.  Heard back from The Tides - no "Winter Special" rate this year.  They're only able to offer a 15% discount.

I'm working on details for the event, and by New Year or maybe earlier I will post with info on the activities itinerary, prizes, scoring format, registration, gear...etc.

Don't want to get ahead of myself, but I do plan to make it the best ever.

Found out The Tides is offering a 15% discount this year.  The "Winter Special" rate of 3 nights for the price of 2 will not be offered.  They've blocked off the rooms for only our group to reserve.
