I'm kinda giddy with excitement. I use to get this way for lobster openers too, just giddy and excited. I'd pack my gear and cruise down to the waters edge. All the well known spots are filled with cars with divers all suiting up and double checking their lights and other gear.

Standing next the the shore and looking at and hearing the crashing waves I'm would always think "damn that looks snotty..." but is quickly replaced with "shit, I can't wait to get in..."

Man, bug diving is so tiring too, it's constant up and down, getting swept and slammed but I'd always feel really clean and refreshed when I got out of the water.

No.  Sorry I wasn't clear. I'm getting the same giddiness now as I did for lobster openers.

When it's calm and clear enough I'd like to dive for them.

Being an honorable sportsman is way more important than what you catch.
