They can be pretty aggressive in Cabo....not sure where this is but it looks like Mexico to me.

Now that's a fish story he will be telling for some time.

That reminds me of a big knot head in la Jolla.  A buddy was cleaning his WSB off the side of a boat and this big bastard grabbed it and took off with it.

I've seen this guy in action in the marina. 






This sea lion is named Pancho, and for good reason.

Presumably in homage to the 19th-century Mexican revolutionary leader Pancho Villa, this sea lion, who spends his days in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, apparently makes a habit of redistributing the wealth brought in by fishermen. Instead of giving it to the poor, though, as Pancho Villa might have done, Pancho redistributes it directly to his stomach.

In the above video, uploaded in early October, Pancho can be seen making quick work of the catch by a professional fisherman on the show "Chef on the Water." While the two men proudly display their fresh-caught Mahi Mahi for the camera, Pancho pops his head out from behind the boat, swiftly snags a massive fish out of one man's hands, and then disappears under the water.

A pelican just behind the boat watches the whole scene unfold, seemingly with mild amusement.

Karen Barnert, a blogger in Cabo, jokingly says of Pancho, "He ... got kicked out of Sea World, but learned all the right lessons."

I know how the guy feels. A rough count puts the score of furbag vs sharky over the last 6 mo at 30:0. Who knows what goes through a furbag's head.

Saw this on Emeryville Sportfishing last night:

On Wednesday 10-30 Roger on the Salty Lady was fishing the Middle Ground between the Channel buoys to below Duxbury. His 8 customers landed 6 salmon to 12 pounds, donated two big keepers to the "furbag food bank" and released 12+ shakers. 

Most likely the one that got my Aunts fish on that slow day back in September.  We were lucky and got that one back.
