How tightly fit should the wetsuit be?

My weight might have changed over the years; my 2 piece wet suit now feels VERY tight.  I need a pair of plyers to pull up the zipper.  Without plyers it just hurts the fingers too much do so.  Once pulled up, it feels very tight but not suffocating and once in water I forget all about the suit.

Anyone can comment on how tight the wetsuit should be?  And is there any scientific measurement for the fit??  Thanks a lot.

If you can, go to the Freedive Shop in West Sacramento. They will fit you and you can feel for yourself what a proper fitting wetsuit is like.

Pliers? uh........................... its not too tight. You just grew a bit. Now get a new suit.
