Looks great for open water.  I just hope he doesn't snag a cable of net with that tail of his when it swings so wide.  I don't think that he would have enough air to lift back to the surface, then he would really be in TROUBLE and have to abandon ship!!!

Nothing new here, in the 1940's during WWII the Brits developed a Kayak Sub for their SBS (Special Boat Service).  Similar concept.
