Hey guys I'm planning to float and fish down the Sacramento River though Redding next Saturday, Nov 2nd. The paln is posse grounds to Bonneyview.  So up for a little river adventure? I could also be talked into doing a shasta run on the north side, like up tyhe Mccloud arm

Can't do Saturday, have a cousin coming into town who wants to pull on salmon so I booked a guide for Sunday the 3rd.
I am planning to float Posse to Bonny this Sunday afternoon though.

I would love to join you guys up there sometime.   Sac river drift sounds awesome.    So does going up McCloud arm.

Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

Striperfest is on Saturday and I am already signed up, or I would have gone for sure.  Bummer, I was really looking to float the Sac.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

We floated it on Sunday, had fun, fishing sucked for us, but for people who know they're stuff the action is hot.  Gotta keep paying the dues and putting the pieces together to figure this fishery out.  I ran my GoPro most of the time, and after reviewing my footage I was running waaaay too much weight which killed the presentation.  These fish see hundreds of offerings any given day, and are super picky.

I think Jeff is still hitting in Saturday.  I'll try to get back on it Nov 9th or 16th, or both.

Oh, and if anybody snags my nice Shimano combo just downstream of the Sundial Bridge there's a case of brew with your name on it.  :smt002

I'm switching it up to Whiskey creek instead of the river. I need to catch fish, my skunk festival lately is killing me. Whiskeycreek is full of planters, kokes, rainbows and bass so that's where I'm heading.

I was hoping to head to the coast for some crabbing, but my plans have changed :smt012 Want company?

You know it Dave, I'm planning to launch at 8, probably spend the first part of the morning up the creek chasing smallies.
