I was just out the last two days and the water's BROWN! Vis is like 3'. Made the fishing a little more challenging. Still got some, but had to work for em. Isn't the fort still opening on the weekends? For a larger crowd, that would be more accommodating. Deciding if I should run up again. It was greasy slick until around noon both days,  :smt007 then a breeze came up. No sheep tho.

The fort is just a little south of TC so maybe he is referring to that. The fort would be fine with me, I just want to fish.

Looking down at the water now at TC.  Flat but murky.

So with all this "Brown" water should I pick a different weekend to try my luck for the first time in the salt or is everyone still planning on giving it a go?

I would not hesitate for Ling & Rock fishing. You'll do well. I might hesitate on the Abs, but things do change quickly..

I'll be there then since Kahuna says it'll be worth it.  After seeing him and his partner's haul a couple weekends ago I will take his word as gospel on this one.  I'll be headed into town tonight to the Outdoor Pro Shop if anyone needs anything.  I have to get a rod re-tipped and pick up some squid and or anchovies to tip my jigs with.  Drop me a message here if there's anything on your "have to have" list!

See you guys in the morning!

I gotta tell ya, the water up there was a freaky green/brown soup on Wed.  Not really like the red tide from a few yrs ago.

Good Luck and have fun,

I'll be interested to see a dive report.
