hey ncka,

getting myself into a new hobby of kayak fishing. been fishing pretty much all my life, but never from a kayak until a couple months ago. got hooked, and after much researching and demos, i threw down some cash and purchased a cuda 12 from headwaters. took her out last month for the first time. i wasn't planning on fishing (just trying to get used to handling her), but did store a couple rods below, just in case ;)  towards the end of the day, i pulled one out and fished for 30 mins.  boy..., standing up and casting was awesome, and accessing coves that i couldn't get to by foot put a big smile on my face.

looking forward to spending more days out on the water fishing and maybe meeting some of you guys out there.

Nothing better than saddling up and heading out for a day on the water.  Make sure you get your safety gear so you can enjoy many years of paddling.

thanks for all the welcomes!!!  looks like a few cuda owners chimed in too.

for those in the southbay, do you guys hit up any of the lakes, or mostly offshore fishing?  i'd like to eventually get out offshore, maybe in half moon bay harbor (for starters).  back in the 80's we used to rent an aluminum boat from santa cruz and head towards capitola to fish.  i'd like to do that on my kayak someday.
