What gives?

I know I'm going to get it for this one so go ahead, I probably deserve it.

Here are some thoughts 

I have been a member here for several years, and all that time I get slammed for being a Dodgers fan. I take it with a grain of salt and give a little back because it's just a game ... no big deal is all in fun anyways.
Now after my team is doing well and we have a real reason to celabrate (came from last place up to the playoffs), We get locked because some fan of another team gets buthurt because we give the same s@#t we have been getting for years.

To truly understand my point, use the serch for "Giants" and read all the fun giving it to the other teams.
Now use the serch for "Dodgers" and see how negative the responses are.
I understand this is just a game and a lot of members are from the Bay Area and probably "Giants" Fans, but if your going to dish it out, you should be willing to swallow less than 1/10th of it.

I  agree  on  the general principle  that  those  who  dish  should  be able  to  receive ( not  mentioning  any  names) However I cannot  bring myself to defend the Dodgers  or  their  swarthy fans 

Wasn't me.....checked the moderation log and there's no record of who locked it either.  Pat maybe?  He did ask why Dodger fans kept bumping his post to rake on the DEFENDING WORLD CHAMPIONS 

Anyway,  I was in the process of posting and it went through after the thread lock, cause I can do that,    Was actually looking forward to hearing back from dodger fans prematurely celebrating their nonexistent world series title

I would think that it was locked because the original post had nothing to do with team rivalries and was threadjacked by posts about team rivalries.

You are a dodgers fan, therefore you suck. Henceforth you shalt continue to be verbally abused on a regular basis. Furthermore, said abuse will be harsh,scathing and sometimes personal. Try not to let it get to you.

Meh....even if the dodgers do win the series I still have " come talk to me when you have two....in the modern era, not when we were trying to put a man on thee moon or fighting cold wars with communists" 

Giants and A's have a heated rivalry with the dodgers going way back. Especially with dodger fans beating giants fans to death. Dont expect any sympathy.

  Giants are still the Champs till it gets decided by the Pirates and the A's..

so gloat all ya want on the oversized payroll, The Giants will come back with Heart....

I must say, it's been entertaining and do Thank the Dodgers for that and it's interesting, for once,,, ,

not to have a dog in the fight,  makes it so much less tense and can just enjoy the show...
