Hi, Guru -

I am going to ELK fishing tournament this weekend ( Aug-12). I am thinking of ab diving once. But, I need some coaching from you for the 1st time. If you are also going to ab diving at ELK and don't mind showing me some tips, I would tag around.  This is probably the best oppt for me to dive with experienced ones. I have ab license, but have not used it. I got to use it.

If the ocean is CALM this is a great spot, otherwise not the best spot for a newb.  Come see me at the tourney and I will give you the info you need.

Will do. The forecast seems 6ft swells on this weekend - not good for newb.  :smt009, but see you anyway.

Not that I trust the forecasts this far out, but Sunday morning looks like it might have better winds.  Besides Saturday is for the catching that big fish for the tournament.

(what am I doing?)

Ah yeah, Ab diving on Saturday would also be great... be sure to start right at 6am and don't come back until you have 3 ten inchers.

Van Damme is right up the road ( 20-25 minutes north ) and one of the most protected coves around. GREAT place for a newbie's first time ab diving.

Hey, Brian - What about 6 ten inchers - two days in row.   :smt003

Six abs sure, if you plan on eating the first three before going out on Sunday.   I'm sure our game warden buddy at Elk will be looking for any excuse to bust us, so mind your possession limits.

no worry, I may not go out at all, given the condition at ELK for newbie. But, I still want to check in and see how it is supposed to work.

Matt, just stand on my kayak and when you see a fish, jump in and spear it with the fishing pole.   Hahaha
