The diver was my brothers best friend Stan Ehnisz and long time dive partner of about 40 years.  My brother told me he was out diving with Stan, another local diver, and Stan's son who was with them fishing.  He said he noticed Stan floating on his back and thought that was really unusual and went to check on him and he said he knew right away that he had passed.  They towed him back to shore and called the sheriff.  The sheriff told them it was most likely some kind of medical issue.

Stan who was  from Tulare was not a member here, but, has been kayak diving for close to 20 years.  My thoughts and prayers are now with his family as they make the long journey to Sea Ranch

So sad, thoughts and prayers for the family and friends. Couldn't imagine being there when my father passed. At least he was doing what he loved and was around people who loved him.

Thank you for the update. Sounds like he did indeed live the life that he wanted  and that is a good thing. My friend's uncle passed earlier this year at the same location and in the same manner. Strength and honor

Sad.  Good reason for a buddy system while out there.
