Lake Sonoma - Saturday 10/5/13

I will be hitting the lake around 830. Going for steelhead and/or bass. I will be on the main body of the lake probably around the dam a lot since that is where I saw a lot of surface action last weekend.

They got a 7 day reprieve, so I would think you have until at least next Tuesday before they shut down again, lol!!

"Steelhead are being caught from the surface to 40 feet deep. Most are using flashers with a half of a nightcrawler or chrome Apexes. Fall bass bite is kicking in. Bass are moving shallower. Normal drop-shotting will work but chatterbaits and crankbaits will work."

There was plenty of action on top last weekend.  Lots of fish popping the surface everywhere.  I caught one steelhead on top (within the first 5ft or so) over 50ft of water but everything else we hooked up with was small schooling bass.
