Few more. We are truly blessed to be a part of what we are.

Wow what a send off. Special thanks to the organizers and Joel's family. Sometimes we forget how really special the NCKA family is. Today as I sat at the potluck and looked around, it was amazing how many fine people I have met in the last 7 years and consider to be good friends and my family. So the spirit of Joel lives on in all of us. Thanks also to Bill for making the trip from Texas and Paul Lebowitz for making the trip from S.D. You guys are class acts. Molly really liked Joel and has been a little blue since his passing. Funny how dogs understand these things. Anyway, she was there to say good bye and is home taking a long nap with a smile on her face. Life is good.

I feel the same way whenever I look around experience the love and human kindness that is so much a part of the NCKA culture that Joel started.   Let's keep it alive in his memory.  Thank you to all of my NCKA brothers and sisters for all of the hugs yesterday that help me get through the day.

Molly got to hang out with her PIF 3 buddy until a bad Coors Light pass to Dan sent Molly swimming.  That's why you should always have a PFD on. The paddle salute was very touching as captured on Robs video. The food was off the hook and I think we ate pretty much ate all of the double Lechon's. I ate so much I couldn't move. JWR was laughing at me. MMMM it was so good. Got to talk to some of Joel's family and that was cool. The road home was filled with pumpkin seeking families so I headed north through the city. Went over the new bridge for the first time which was cool. Made it home in time to see the second half of the niner game.

Joel helped to found what is a great passion for many of us.
Thanks everyone for making my life what it is today, fishing, on a kayak, so sweet!
