In for $20 bucks on the herd of swine.  Michelle and I will leave Ocean Cove Sunday am and will likely miss the paddle out.  We'll be OTW with Joel and Y`all in spirit though and should roll in by noon.  Can someone PM me if the memorial site is "dog friendly"?  If so, that could get us down sooner.

I only fished with Mooch once or twice...but, oh, what a great guy!  I was so sorry to hear about his death.

You can rent a wetsuit for $20 and there is a separate thread for the carpool - you'll have better luck finding a carpool there.  Welcome.

We will be launching 7-7:30 ish fishing for hali then rock/ling out by the green  can... white vw cabriolet with 2 kayaks on top... hard to miss seeing us. Launching location probably at boat ramp or just past harbor outside jeddy...

Remember, eat light and take sea sick precation if you need to... were gonna be out there a while.

better conditions can't happen again though. Good for first time out. Rent a wetsuit or some use tight neoprene waders. :smt006

my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

I had the idea of dropping an abalone shell with a good bye message written in sharpie on it out on the water where we scatter his ashes...if several guys did it, it would create a little "shell garden" down there for him.  :smt001

How's this?  "So many memories.  Such a small shell, I think Art pulled it"

I'm going to miss my Primo!

Love it!!!

Here is mine. My first 9 inch ab ever...beautiful shell, super heavy with great color. I will never forget the day I got it with FM1 and Dr. Habenero, and I will never forget Mooch.

 :smt001

Also, giving Mooch's sister Rachel a 10 3/4 inch monster that my buddy Jim Okumoto gave me....asked Jim if he was cool with it and he said of course.  :smt004

Sincerely,

Jim
