Whats up NCKA,

No body local will install a zipper on a wetsuit or any shop local that would fix a tear, I called around and found Blown Out Wetsuits in SC.  I had the suit UPSd and had it back in 1 1/2 weeks.  Nice craftsman ship and very helpful on the phone.  Needless to say I enjoyed the relief this last weekend OTW!! Give em a call

Exactly what I was thinking of doing.  How much did they charge?

60 bucks out the door! Looks to me it will work for the rest of my wetsuits life. They put a flap on the inside about 2-3", for water flow through

That's almost as much as I paid for the wetsuit itself.  Maybe I'll look into doing it myself...doesn't look like it's too difficult.

Ummm, I have offered to do both for NCKA brothers for a third of what you have found. I'm up in the Petaluma area.
But you can keep looking.... :o

Very generous offer John, if I were in your area I'd definitely be taking you up on that!  Since you have experience with this, would it be possible to install a zipper on neoprene waders?  I would imagine so, same setup and all.

I may have to take you up on that...and I might have a couple other customers for you too.  Only problem is, I'm down in Milpitas, and I rarely make it up that way.  I'll send you a PM when I figure out shipping/delivery and whether or not the others are interested in having this mod done.

I go to through Petaluma on my way to my National Guard Drills in Santa Rosa, normally on the first weekend of the month.  I work in Palo Alto and Live in San Mateo if that helps anybody out.  I could drop it off either going or coming back (depends on what I am doing on a given weekend, some weekends it is not possible).

Neoprene waders are the same most of the time.
I have a dry cleaning shop in Santa Rosa, across the street from Whole foods at Coddington mall. West Steele lane exit off the 101 just around the corner from the NG  barracks . I'm here Monday through Saturday, drop them off anytime. I also can put in dry zippers for drysuits but my cost for the 10 inch zipper is $80.00.
