Patched up a beat up leaky Prowler 13 with a keel that was worn through.

Did a little research and found G-Flex mentioned in prior posts.  GFlex comes in two forms - standard and thickened.  Standard comes in plastic bottles, thickened comes in tubes.  I used the standard.

According to the instructions to bond G-flex to polyethylene - hit it w/ the flame from a torch to oxidize the surface to improve adhesion.  It was already scuffed.

Cut fiberglass tape to fit.

Apply a layer of GFlex epoxy to the keel.

Apply fiberglass tape.

Apply more GFlex on top.

Add another layer of fiberglass tape if necessary + more GFlex.

Wait for it to cure.

Sand to smooth the edges.

This repair can use more sanding.  In hindsight I should have applied a smaller piece of fiberglass tape first, then a larger layer on top.

Aaron:  I have lots of fiberglass tape and epoxy leftover.  Let me know if you want to use it.
