Anyone interested in YFFFing? Starting 9/27 - through November.

Yuba Fly Fishing Fridays!!!

Meet under the south side of the Hwy 20/Parks Bar bridge at 1:00, dump kayaks, set shuttle, on the water around 2:00. I'm up for this Friday and next, but will be out of town on 10/11.

Slowly float down to Sycamore Park, fishing on and off the boats along the way, off the water by sunset.

Repeat as desired until mid-November, adjusting meeting and take out times as needed due to shortening of days, end of DST.

Be sure to have a Steelhead card, and it's best if it's filled out for date and location before you start fishing. One never knows when the possum sheriff will be out, looking for all "i"s to be dotted, and "t"s crossed.

Look at reports on the Kiene fly fishing forums, as well as information on what's working, or likely to work on Hogan Brown's and Clay Hash's sites:

I would like to, but I have a regular job that keeps me busy Monday thru Friday.  If you do it on a weekend day I would join.

Good luck guys! If I lived closer I'd be all over it but if I'm going to drive all the way up there I'm going to fish the whole day. Going to try and get up there Sunday though.

I'm busy with kids this Sunday, but was thinking about doing a trip on Sunday 10/6 instead of Friday 10/4 due to there being more interest on a weekend day.

Scott- thanks for organizing!   Like Golfish I would love to join you but can't make it this Friday.   Also it's a long haul for half day.

Funny - my parental responsibilities for Sunday just got switched to Saturday. About half an hour ago I sent a PM to golfish to see if he was still up for Sunday

Scott-   Glad you can join us Sunday!   We can shuttle then.   I am a newbie to this part of the Yuba, having fished above the bridge many many years ago.   
Ted is the man with the plan.    I think we are leaving around 5am which should get us there by 730-8am by my reckoning.   Ted will confirm details I am sure.   We will have our radios.

Golfish and I are planning to go Sunday.    Will leave around 5am tomorrow and probably get there around 730-8am.   Will be on channel 69.   

Wow! Wish I knew how to fly fish :/ you guys are in my neck of the woods. I live in Plumas Lake about 5 minutes away from the Star Bend boat launch. I may swing by just to see how you guys are doing.

Never too late to learn.   Especially if you have such a river so close by. Hope to see you tomorrow.
