what pole and reel???

I think we overloaded Craig w/reel info haha.
But that was a pretty sweet deal you got at J&D's today...Lamiglass Inshore rod w/Shimano Spheros reel. That combo should last for a decade. I've been looking at that reel myself.

I could go to that shop with a grand and a few hours to kill no problem...It was great meeting you..thanks for the tips and chat...Like we had talked about before and there ,having a good /decent open face reel  is going to be easier for me for now...I have 0% experience with a baitcaster conventional reel...I will buy and learn later
Boy do I want to get a  Penn 500 (he was showing me another Penn too with a nice rod 150+tx)  and trevala m-m/h rod later this year...I need to find out more about the different model on the 500 and  and trevela but I'm gonna check out one soon...
Jim is a kick in the pants and I would rather get stuff from him than online ....he defines "shop local" to me at least....
