Hi Guys,

Making plans for a day trip to Tomales Bay this weekend.  I've never been there.  3 families with kids between 4 and 7 are going. No fishing planned.

Restaurants (fresh oysters), sight seeing or any fun activities recommendations would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Mel

Hearts desire beach is always a hit with the kids, and Marshall store has some great fare and even better views

Tomales Bay Oyster Company. Buy your oysters, pick a picnic table and use one of their many BBQ grills. Bring all your condiments and additional food and drinks. Make sure to bring hot dogs and burgers for the kiddies and the non oyster eating folks.

Kick back and enjoy. Make sure you get there early those oyster farms get packed.  :beer3

Check out their website for more info.

Tomales Bay oyster company is my go-to spot for oysters but make sure call for reservations ahead of time, if you plan to picnic there.  They have a nice picnic area with grills at each table.  Enjoy!

+1 on Heart's Desire. There's also a .5 mile trail to Indian Beach from the parking lot at Heart's Desire. Indian Beach is a nice sandy beach and you can sneak in a few minutes of shark fishing or fishing lite tackle for bait!!
