Kayak to stand up in

Whatever you get to stand in will take some practice to feel comfortable. Ride, predator, Jackson's. all decent choices.

You might want to look at the Wavewalk 500. Being an ex bass boat owner (pre kids) I got accustomed to standing while fishing and now I still feel the need to do so. Especially when im pitching and flipping the delta it makes it alot easier to find the holes in the deep recesses of the tullies. I'm in the Elk Grove area and if you are not to far away and would like to test drive mine you are more then welcome to.

Scott when I receive mine you can try it out if you want. Super stable and has the trident hatch space (Predator 13) that you're looking for.

The Jackson Kilroy is an amazing kayak to stand and cast in. Not an ocean going kayak but in skinny water there's nothing better. Other than that I would suggest the Jackson Cruise 12. It's really popular with fly fisherman. Big clean deck, nice seat, and only $899. For 2014 the cruise will come as an angler version in all the cool colors too.
