Has anyone out their tired the new Malone Clipper cart with Rover Wheels? I saw them at Albion and decided to order in a few sets. They retail at $159 which is about $75 cheaper than the Wheeleez Beach Cart. The quality looks similar, but only time will really tell. The other cool thing is the Rover wheels will adapt to an existing kayak cart without having to buy the whole thing.

What I'm looking for is a paddler who currently uses Wheeleez Beach Cart to test out and write a review on the new Clipper cart with Rover tires, and give us their honest review of the two carts. We sell both but we want to sell people the best products and offer the best value. Anyone interested in taking on this project?

Thanks!  :smt006

I'm already in the process of doing an article for comparison!

I might be able to help you with that. Narisa won a pair at Albion. I can tell her I need to go fishing in the name of research.

I would be glad to put it through some rigorous use on the Mendocino Coast and report back. Shoot me a PM and we can work it out.

At first glance they are a way cheaper construction and 1 or 2 trips wont really prove anything. The long haul will show what's up. I saw these at Dealer camp in July and I wasn't impressed at all. I have been given a pair to use. I'll try them out Dan and get back to you. At least Malone donated to the raffle which is WAY more than I can say about Wheelezz.

I'm down to test out a pair, as well.

Most of the places I fish are paved at first, then sand/rock. Two birds.

I'll do a three mile roundtrip on soft sand if you want to get a set to me.  :smt001

Brilliant!  Good one, Victor!  :smt005
I've sen these Malone Clipper carts and wondered about them too. I'll keep my eyes open for a review; I'm interested to hear how they compare to the Wheeleez beach cart. A good test w/b bring them to the MBK Tourney and let people use them to portage their yaks across the beach. And viola, instant feedback from like 3 dozen people.

If you want to do a real test. Tow it behind your truck for a couple miles. :smt044

I would be willing to do a review for you. It would be used on paved (Santa Cruz), sand (SMC), and over rocks (Sonoma).

I have a set and will post my likes and or dislikes as I use them.  My previous wheels were a Hobie plug-in cart with the smaller Wheeleez wheels.  The wheels were difficult to keep properly inflated and eventually blew-out at Albion.  I got close to five years of use out of them, so I really can't complain.  I'm hoping the "airless" tires on the Malone cart will work as well without the hassles of keeping them properly inflated.  I never did figure out how to keep the wheeleez at 3 - 5 PSI.

This is all great feedback. I don't want to step on MBK toes and offer things at their event. I will be in touch with you guys about getting some wheels to test out. Those who have the wheels, I would love your feed back.
