Wounded Warrior near Yreka - help wanted!

Hi folks,

I'm IslandHoppa, from the Heroes on the Water Portland team. I was contacted by a Wounded Warrior in NorCal who really wants to try kayak fishing but she's way up north, closer to the Oregon border. I discussed it with Don and he encouraged me to post this.

Wondering if anyone would be interested in talking to me about helping out here. There are challenges to be considered but the rewards for your efforts are immeasurable.

Ive inquired about a HOW event in redding (1.5hr drive from yreka) but nothing is in the works yet. he can contact me or Headwaters Adventure Co. in Redding I would be more than happy to take him out and show him whats its all about, and if I'm not available we have a few others that would jump at the opportunity. sorry just reread, he's a she, sorry for that but it doesn't matter everyones welcome!

+1 and I know there would be a group of us to help, I to have been wanting to help some way after reading the article in Kayak Fish 2013 Annual, that was a powerful article!  There is also Iron Gate Reservoir that is a bit closer to Yreka.

We can work something out under the Nor Cal HOW chapter for now to get her out right away, so you can be covered insurance wise and all the details...

I can also help you get a chapter going too if ya want....

Just let me know and I can shoot ya some paperwork and organize the details from here...  you would just need to have everyone sign waivers and keep tract of a few things...

I'm sure there are a fair few of us on the coast willing to help up this way too. I have access to the Klamath just below iron gate dam if we want to get a group together for a salmon/steelhead float trip too. Just let us know how to help with a far north HOW gig jbaker.
