Shelter Cove salmon reports are great!
Shelter Cove:
Captain Trent Slate of Shelter Cove Sport Fishing said, "It is completely wide open up here, and we have been jigging up salmon on trout rods since we aren’t concerned about getting enough bites to fill the box with limits."
The weather tomorrow looks perfect....
Wed: W winds up to 5 kt. Waves...SW 2 ft at 11 seconds. Patchy fog.
I will drive up tonight. Anyone going to be up there or want to join me?

I fished the cove last Saturday launched around 7:30am, a 28 pound salmon in 40' of water about an hour later. I also ran out to the whistle and talked with 2 pb's, they had zero bites. I had to be off the water by 11, chores at home. I added a 30" ling to the stringer and headed home. I'll be there this Friday looking for my 30 pounder that I lost a while back.

Very few salmon caught.  3 very short bites mooching, no Salmon for me.  Though I caught a  few, even rock fishing was not that good.  Heard..."The bite was great until 2 days ago". The local fisherman said the water turned dirty and the baitfish had left with the salmon following them.   But paddling along that amazing coast with the ocean like a lake made the long drive worth it.
