Hey Guys,

My name is Nick Beevers I live in Santa Cruz and and I am new to kayak fishing. I love fishing and have been doing it my whole life and kayak fishing the ocean is the next step for me. I have a Malibu Kayaks Extreme 15 feet long. I work over at Fishermans Warehouse and fishing is my passion. Im looking for willing people to teach me the ropes and maybe even catch some fish ;) thanks everyone.

Welcome to the Madness Nick!  Santa Cruz and Capitola are my favorite fishing spots in this area so make sure to post a hook up when you go.  See you at FW

Welcome ..Looking at the months WX forcast I think kayaks will be leaving the Aldos dock most mornings over the next month...most are out of town threw this weekend but next week looks good for fishing...

From what I have witnessed OTW going out with "scallin Bushy" when you get started is a great idea,,He will show you the ropes keep you safe and put you on fish ....

Thanks S-dude.  You have been hitting the 'right spots' yourself lately.  That's why we see each other all the time!!

Hey Nick, great to see you join the board!  Like Surfingdude said, there will likely be a few kayakers targeting every good day in SC.  Post a hookup when you plan to go, be happy to hookup and fish with you! You work at the SJ FW? Tell Amy hi!  :smt044

Just to echo what surfingdude said, scallen is "the man" to teach you about kayak fishing in Santa Cruz. And I'd also recommend the kayak launch near Aldo's---if you're there early, you will almost certainly see some other kayak fishers heading out.
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?
