While getting EXTREMELY ansy for my ALBION departure date, I decided to play with some of my Salmon gear; and thought I would share:

With one of the hottest colors for salmon fishing being "Chartreuse" and the fact that the Chartreuse "Deep Six Diver with Disco Tape" is no longer manufactured (I think I may have bought the last 3 in the free world), I decided replicate the product. When trolling with this Deep6, I can normally run a cut plug, RSK or FBR without the use of a flasher and still catch fish; however, if I needed to add more vibration into the water, I definitely would use a dodger to the setup.

The hardest part was trying to find the holographic "Disco" style vinyl; no luck, so I went with the next best thing: holographic "Crystal" vinyl.

Took a picture of the Deep6, imported into the computer and created a vector file for the plotter; and several dry runs on scratch vinyl, I came out with a decent pattern that actually cover more surface than what Luhr-Jensen did. (you don't really need to be this technical, a pair of scissors and a sharpie would do just fine)

Peeled the cut pattern out, applied it to my Deep6 and sha-bam, no I have my own Deep6 Flasher!

Tight Lines!!!!

Damn Glen!  Can I get one for my Deep Six?  Somehow I don't think a mod with a Sharpie is going to compare.

The original version has always worked well for me; did well with LapuLapu and me a few weeks ago...

We'll see how it works at Albion :smt003

No Prob Sonny, just double check to make sure that it does not have the middle plastic notch opening as shown in the picture below; I had to do some modifying to make it work.

Damn Glen and I thought I had Albion fever bad!  I did a mod of my own to my NCKA hoodie.  It might not help with catching fish, but it will sure look good at the potluck.  :)

At the bottom Albion I have this image of a John Travolta looking Salmon Dancing to the disco Deep Six singing  this diddy to the Bee Gees "Staying Alive"
