Yes,  I believe they still exist, live in very deep ocean, and hunting the Colossal Squids.  There're so much things/species which we did not know exist in our ocean!

Could be. I kinda doubt it, but I wouldn't discount the possibility. They could predate on deep water squid without ever approaching the surface but, seems like one would have been snagged in a net or something by now.

I don't think kayakers have much to fear from Megalodons.

LOL! Hell yeah.  :smt003

I was kinda confused watching last night...was the whole thing just made up? They had some super quick text on the bottom of the screen at the very end saying it was dramatization, but was there really a boat that got sunk, and did they really create a 5 mile chum slick or was the whole show just fake?

 :smt012

Sincerely,

Jim

One of the links on Megladon I watched online had them finding a whole tooth, not sure if that was part of the show you all are talking about.

Anyhow, my kid's orthodontist ($$) had one of those teeth displayed on his desk, he could afford it, it was the real deal, scary for sure,

We have found soo many new speciaes that have either never been seen before or thought to have died off.  We have proof that they have existed in the past.  I am in full belief that they still exist in the deeps.  Do I 100% believe the Shark Week show on tagging one .... no.  I am in some doubt that South Africa would have let them chum a 5+ mile field of blood.

Not too long ago giant squid were thought to be extinct. So it's possible I guess. I'm sure there's creatures down there that we have no idea about

We are still finding new species on land.  Much more ocean than land and so much is only reachable with specialized equipment.  I think there are still some down there lurking and waiting for the right time.  Hope it don't like kayaks.
