Fish n Chill @ Lake Del Valle - Sept. 7-8

I think the campsites are past the main entrance, at the end of Del Valle Road hang a left.  I hope to spend most of the time on the water, falling in by "accident".

Supposed to be 99F on Sat and 100 on Sunday.  Bring lots of water,  ice, sunscreen and EZ-ups, if you have em, (I have one).  Every time I go there it's either a hundred degrees or storming...   

sweet!   i will be doing nothing but sitting in the shade bitchin&moaning about the heat!   

Where is everyone going to be? We are going for the day on Saturday.

We will be in site 003 and 063.  Glen is 064 and I believe Mooch is 002.  After you go through the gate, veer to the left and head down pass the bridge until you reach the end.  Make a left and keep going until you see the ranger's post gate entrance.  The sites are very close to the entrance.

The water is quite far from the campground.  The creek that goes through the camp and connects to the lake has dried up. 

I wonder if we can launch at the west swim beach, after mussel inspection.  Looks to be closer.  If not, no big deal to drive over to the ramp.

Bringing 12 auction beef steaks (6 rib, 6 sirloin) for the first 11 lucky starving buddies (Lapulapu has his name stamped all over one rib). Expecting to show up Saturday a.m. if I don't get lost at the lake. Anything is possible with me.

Joel is in Site #004; and, unfortunately I have to work REAL F-Ing early on Sunday Morning, so I wont be staying for the night.

I marinated 3 pieces of Pork Butt!!!!  It will  go to Ariel's smoker Saturday morning and hopefully will be ready for dinner Saturday night!

...gonna have to cancel on my for sale items - got too much stuff in my man van (I had to pack for 3) I will just post it on the classifieds sometime next week. Perhaps to a sale/fishing and BBQ hook up in HMB ? Gotta clear the garage.
