Looks like a few guys with nothing better to do. LE has a hard enough job to do with out a bunch of YouTube heros walking around with guns and cameras looking for a conforentation. I'm all for the second amendment but at some point rational thinking comes in to play. I wonder what the cost to the city was for just this incident, now imagine every YouTube tough guy out there doing the samething. Makes for a good argument to ban open carry.

I was born and raised in the same town this guy lives in. The guy is a tool in my opinion but I strongly support the right to open carry. I too use to open carry in Oregon but I didn't make a statement by prancing around town. I think that officers deal with nuts on a daily basis and can forget about the important things such as the rights we do have left.

I think it's a bunch of bull$#it!
If I saw someone walk into a supermarket carrying an AK and I had the chance to get the drop on him; I'd make sure he was stone cold out and then start asking questions. It's not normal and usually when something like that is out of the norm bad things follow. I'd rather guarantee I'm not going to get shot with that gun than wait to see what happens.
At some point common sense needs to come into play.

Another example of why I could never be a police officer. I would have pepper-sprayed them and given them a liberal dose of the ol' wood shampoo..

Honestly I am also a proponent of open carry, but this was intentionally antagonistic behavior, wasting the police's time to get on YouTube, by a trio of pasty white semi-retarded douche-bags. That was 15 minutes of paid salary of a law enforcement officer (with the patience of Job) that we will never get back so these mallet-heads could make their little video :smt013
Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

Being a gun nut myself, I love and have several guns, and love the open carry law. That being said, it is guys like that, that make people want more gun control. :smt013  They think by showing off our rights it is some how helping the cause for gun rights, BULL, it is making all the people that see them think, god I don't want that happening, and most of them vote. I was born and raised here in Redding,
when we went hunting big game, we always had a side arm. we always would stop and get gas, food ect... Never a question about having a pistol on your hip. Times have changed, nobody carries a side arm into the store now, even if it was our right to up until a few years ago ,it was. You just take it off in the woods now. Why? out of respect, and not to alarm others. Sorry for the rant, I am very Passionate about my guns, and the 2nd amendment. Also that cop did have the patience of Job, and shows there are still great cops out there !!!!!!

On every base I have been to, and i have been to quite a few,  and with the exception of Iraq (and htey had to be unloaded, and cleared prior to going in), so this whole I got a right to carry what ever I want, anywhere I want crap  does not fly with me.  I cannot tell you how many times i have heard a negligent misfire due to some ones stupidity.

first off big props for visiting this site. i go here almost religiously every day to see what is going on around me that the mainstream media doesn't report on. Great site. secondly i think that what they are doing is perfectly fine as long as it is within the guidelines of the law but i do address the fact that they are doing it in a way that is meant to raise eyebrows but at the same time everything that they are doing(assuming everything is done perfectly legally) is meant to get a reaction but at the same time educate and show people that these actions are our rights. just because the public frowns on it doesn't mean that it cant be done. our society(IMO) is getting so soft and "pussified" that people don't want this to happen because everyone is so shook about "what could happen". i don't think that what they are doing is bad in any way. if more law abiding citizens that are right in their mind and don't have a negative ulterior motive were to carry firearms we would be safe and better off. all of this is just "my opinion" of course.

I think those guys are a bunch of idiots wasting police officer's valuable time and frightening the public for no good reason at all.

No way I could have been as patient as that officer.
