50 for mostly fresh, 60 for salt

Why?

Just curious ... I've never owned a low profile bait caster for salt (which is where I'll use it).

They work great for casting swimbaits at jumpers when albacore fishing.  That's what I have used em for.

My question was WHICH one, the 50 or the 60, and why.

To ad more specifics, for inshore only, mostly rockfishing and salmon.  I have other casting reels for offshore albacore.

I caught that thresher on a Revo 50 (non HS tho). Bought it from Turners Outdoors in Socal for $130 a few years ago. Love that reel. But it doesn't work any more lol.

1st Place in a private tournament I did not invite anyone else to be in. (and I barely squeaked out a victory)

The only difference is line capacity. I have the 50 and it works great for everything inshore.  I will use it for salmon too on the rivers.

Did some research of my own.   :smt002  Yup, the 60 has more line capacity due to it being wider.  I think I'm fine with the line capacity of the 50 (with 30# braid) so I ordered one.  This will go on my lighter duty rockfish rod which is really more of a salmon rod (moderate/fast action 8.5' rod).  Replacing the 6500 that's currently on it.  Time for me to see what this low profile action is all about ...about time, huh?

You are going to love the feel of this reel in your hand. I would advise though immediately changing out for ceramic bearings and better grease. The bearings are not that great for what we do in the salt. I had all mine changed out and lubricate with 3in1 after every use. Especially the level wind rack.

I think I just ordered one but when I checked out it didn't give me an order confirmation #? It just took me to my empty shopping cart. Is this what you guys got? Should I be waiting for an email with confirmation?

Naoaki, I bought 4 of the 60's just in case they sold out. Taking care of my brothers. I have 3 for sale when they get here. Same price.
