Any suggestions on fishing Lake Tahoe with a young kid?
My son (6) and I are camping at DL Bliss State Park for a few days in August.  I'm bringing a T13 kayak to paddle along the shoreline.  I hope to do some "kid-friendly" fishing with my son.  Any tips on fishing Lake Tahoe along the shoreline or do I have to troll down deep.  My expectations are super low on the fishing part, so having fun on the water is the ultimate goal.  I read in older reports that crawdads are all over the place.  That alone will be a kick for my little guy.
Thanks for any suggestions!

I was at Bliss yesterday and jigged 200' trying for a mack as well as trolling around for a koke - theyre about 60' down in 100' of water or more. Those two methods are a little gear-demanding and tough to coax a bite during the day. I saw a guy who'd hiked along the rock wall and caught a nice looking 18-20" trout - he had about 6 flavors of Powerbait, so that may be the ticket.

Best of luck.  :smt001

If you fish along the rocky shorelines you can get some bows.
