Guys I will post a hookup as soon as the chromers start showing in the WG area.  Going to be busy with visiting company next two weekends, but I will gather reports from locals.  Fishinfool01 Mondays are my preference as are any other weekdays as I am retired.  I need to learn more about fishing that Stockton area, but right now am going to focus on the salmon.
sounds good I'd like to get into some salmon also :smt001

Man... I feel like fishing now. Need to find some new spots to fish where I don't have to pay to launch my kayak

Not the best spot for fishing, but you can park your car at the end of Trinity Parkway and wet launch off the bank. I've done it a couple times. Sometimes get some bass and stripers further paddling west around the rip rap corner. There's also a fallen tree that holds a bunch of panfish midway from the bridge to the corner.

Is the water deep throughout that area. I was looking at it on google earth. I was talking to some contractors at work yesterday about fishing the delta and they said the Merced river is a lot better than the delta but its just a long drive. They must have had 20+ pictures on their phone of 7+ pound black bass from that river. The biggest bass I've caught here in california is my avatar pic and I'm not sure what the weight was. I really hope to catch some striper this season and maybe a salmon.

Wow Baitman, that's a beautiful striper!

I can do fishing on Mondays, still waiting for the outback to arrive. About that, I haven't broke the news to my wife yet. She'll usually just say "What do you need that for?" I'd educate her on why and that'll be it. I don't even know how to start with this. The funniest thing I read on this forum was a comment saying "My greatest fear is that when I die, my wife sells all my stuff for what I told her I bought it for." That is so true.
If you guys don't see a post from me for a week, my body may be under the 1st bridge on 8 mile road, lol.

I would  start by explaining how much money you actually SAVED by not buying a boat ! :smt002
No registration,   No launch fees,  No storage expenses,  Very little room for  beer,,, so you'll save hundreds of dollars with each fishing trip !        Let her paddle ( pedal ,whatever ) ,,, if she likes it, would be a great excuse to go out and buy a second kayak ...
Sometimes the fish isn't the only prize.
