Bodega Bay Insight-Pointers

I am transitioning from lakes to ocean fishing. I am really interested in Rockfish at Bodega Bay. I know there is a fairly narrow area open for legal fishing, but would like some pointers if any area experts are online.

Dig the  X wing! I'm new to the forum as well and live in Santa Rosa. I've fished outside the jetty once at Doran with no luck. Looking for pointers too. Let me know if you have any success. Want to fish Tomales also.
