More pictures please. I am still bummed I couldn't be there.  :smt010 But these stories and pictures make me feel a little better.  :smt008
Congrats on a kickass successful event everybody. It warms the cockles to see such generosity.

A huge "Thank You" to all NCKA'ers for allowing me to be the lucky winner of the Grand Prize kayak donated by DpShim.  I am super stoked to have the honor of taking this super kayak home.  I'm also happy that the PIF fundraiser was a success for Mooch.  It sure looked like a fun event.
I'm new to the NCKA community, so I can imagine the sounds of crickets when my name was called at the raffle.  I was on duty that day, so I didn't have a chance to introduce myself to this wonderful group.  The NCKA community has been helpful in my quest for a new kayak after a long hiatus without one.  The OC Trident is exactly what I was looking for and I still can't believe its sitting in my garage.  I popped the hatch and it smelled of many fishing adventures.
I live near China Beach in SF and with this kayak, my days of crabbing off my longboard are over.  I hope to get my first halibut off of Crissy Field or Candlestick this year.  Now that I finally have a kayak, I hope to meet you guys OTW and learn the from the best.

Thank you Big Jim for all the great PIF info and Sara for an awesome message that I won ( the guys at the firehouse were wondering what all the screaming was for at Midnight...), Buzz (Harold) for transporting the yak to a closer pickup spot and helping me load it in my truck.  DpShim(Dan) for his generous donation.  I probably won't catch as much fish, but this is a great start to a new fishing obsession.  And to Mooch, I haven't met you before, but these folks love for you speaks mountains of what kind of person you are.  Hope you enjoy the SFFD swag Buzz is dropping off.
Thanks again!!

Congrats on winning the kayak Frank! Hoping to read a lot of kayak fishing reports from you in the future! Enjoy your ride and welcome to the madness!  :smt006

A big thanks to Jim and the rest of the A-hulls for cementing Pay It Forward as one of the MUST GO TO EVENTS.  I made the long trek down from Chico to last years event and for sure wasn't going to miss this years.  Sorry I missed the brotherhood time doing the paddle.  I won't let that happen again!

Another fine pot luck with Andy's fried grunion, Kevin's salmon burgers, the smoked octopus, and of course that pig.  I'm sure there was other great food out there but I was too full to make it to everything.

It was good to see everybody and meet some new people.  Mooch thanks for the words of encouragement and convincing me to get back out to Bodega for the Salmon hunt after getting skunked on Friday.  We not only made it out, Non-yak, but I managed to bag my largest ocean salmon to date and we got Vwool on his first PB salmon.

I'm still feeling the after effects of the long weekend but can't wait to do it again next year.

Cheers to all of you and to see everyone at the next event.

Frank rolled up yesterday to pick up his kayak with a huge smile.  Before the raffle, dpshim mentioned to me that he really hoped the kayak would go to someone who needed the kayak and could make use of it... I believe it's found a good home.    :smt003

Here's a pic of the mysterious Sketchywind... as we try to figure out how to fit the kayak into his short-bed pickup.  (We eventually put it in back first, upside down, & strapped heck out of it.)   :smt005

Thanks Bro!  Been looking 6 months for a Trident 13.  I'm stoked to be getting back into the fishing frenzy again.

I had an excellent time after a long hiatus off the water.  Thanks Jim and the rest of the crew for the planning and execution.

1 spiny dogfish, 1 black rockfish, 3 kingfish (used as bait).  Also managed to come home with a nasty sunburn acquired while watching the pig dismemberment.

Glad to have a new bunch of friends in the Santa Cruz area to invite out, too!

Thank you so so much for putting this event together, Big Jim, Sara & Al, Dpshim, Glen, & everyone else that helped out & donated!!!
Im ashamed to say this was our very 1st PIF event, but we had a great time.
So awesome to see all the NCKA people gathering & having a good time for a great cause!  Everyone was a little touchy feely, but I loved it! And so great to see Mooch & his family & Marv hanging out having a good time!
Thanks again for making this happen!

Thanks A-Hulls, Glen, and everybody that made PIF once more a great success on raising some funds for our brother Mooch. Thanks to all that donated and to all who purchased some tickets specially to Dan on the grand prize. See you all again soon.
