Delta Meadows (Now closed by the state)

Even though the gates are locked, can you walk in and launch at the old dirt ramp without getting hassled?

I guess I should have posted in General Discussion.

  Maybe try in  "Places to launch and camp".  I've always got answers to those type questions in there.

Den G I was wondering the same question so I emailed Parks & Rec earlier this year. The person that responded to me said they do not open the gate but as long as you park legally outside then you can walk in and use the ramp. I believe I still have the email and will post it here if I can find it.

Park behind Ti Gas and wheel in. No problem launching or landing there.

Den found the email this morning and here it is. As for the maintenance they like to hide their money and let the parks close (oops who said that). God luck out there! it looks like some good water to fish.

Mr. Brewster thank you for your email regarding Delta Meadows. The park is open to the public however vehicle access to the launch ramp is currently closed. You are welcome to walk into the park after parking legally outside the gate. If I recall, it's quite a ways from the Delta Gates to the ramp at the Meadows - 1/2 mile? - is the road closed at the Gates, or further down the road?

At the gates. I heard 1/4 mile walk in.  That's not bad.
