I made my first bass fishing trip yesterday to Berryessa since moving to California last week.  It was HOTTT!!!  I launched out of Capell Cove to avoid the $25 launch fee I heard about at all of the marinas.  I fished from 6am till 1pm and managed 4.  I caught 2 smallmouth on a 1/2oz Strike King Burner Spinnerbait in Sexy Shad fished parallel to rock shorelines devoid of grass in 9ft of water.  I got one largemouth early on a rocky point using a baby bass colored spook jr and the other largemouth came on a 1/8oz shakey head jig with a 6" bluegill colored worm in 5ft of water outside a grass line.  Only had three other hits all day.

It was a tough day but it was nice to catch a few on my first time there!  Looking to try another new place tomorrow morning.  Right now it's a toss up between Spring Lake, Lake Sonoma, or the delta at Bethel Island.

There's a two day open tournament at Bethel Island on the 13th and 14th.  Any of you guys planning on fishing that one?

Way to give Berry a try in this hot weather.  Thanks for the report RK.
