I have never been on the Delta but I am thinking that Wimpy's Marina and Snodgrass Slough might be a good place to start.  I can go Saturday or Sunday.  Time is open too, the fish will be there when we are.  I would love some company. :fish
It's a  well known fact that I just made up.

My suggestion for this weekend  would be to stay away from Wimpy's.  Probably crowded and drinking boaters there.

Snodgrass is a much safer bet.  You should launch at the ramp in Locke.  It is on a gravel road just turn right as you pass the Cross Channel Gates ( that is if you are headed in the direction of sacramento), then make your first left and go down road about 300 yards..  You could Google this as there aren't real good directions.  Someone on this forum had a great Google Earth shot of it a few years back.  Yes the ramp has been chained, but everyone just pulls their yaks under the chain.

I might join you. I tried out Georgiana fishing access right past wimpys on Sunday and caught a couple of lmb and smb. There were fish about 30 ft down in some spots. Consumnes is a great spot as well not to far from wimpys. Let me know which area you go. I know the consumnes pretty well as its my #1 spot to fish with my kid.

I am not locked into anyplace in particular, I just want to get out on the Delta.  This is only my second season with the kayak and I have only been to American River at Howe and Folsom so far.  I installed a rudder yesterday, charged my radio and got a gps tracker.  I am ready, I NEED TO FISH! I will meet you wherever you like.  Can't go Friday though.  Let me know.  :fish
