Can't help with a thread on game clip bungees, but I just use a ~4 ft piece of rope with one end tied to clip and the other tied to a carabiner.  I carry 2 clips on the salt, with the carabiners they're easy to move around and clip in different spots as needed.  Handy to have 2 - one for storing fish, and one free in case you need it for a hawg.

For me, I like not having to deal with tangling lines.  I have several rigged with snubbers, like this... very satisfied.

Words of caution, don't use cheap carabiners with your game clips or you'll be sorry.  Don't ask me how I know  :smt003

If I would have seen this thread earlier I would have shown you how I have mine set up, I hope you did better than I did out there today, I lost the one and only kokanee I hooked today because it got tangled in the down rigger, damn rookie move.

the thread or post I saw had it attached at the small end with a bungee and the large round end stretched forward and over the round stud like the paddle bungee stud. Was very slick to keep it out of the way with a quick access feature as well.

Thanks James.  Out of curiosity, where'd you get your bungee and what size is it?  I was thinking about checking West Marine or REI.

For this black stuff at sports chalet I believe and it is the smallest diameter. West marine has it too. Like I posted earlier go to Home Depot and pick up some aluminum Ferrels that work great. Just slide the bungee through and hammer it down. Will not slip
