I recently went on a trip with my dad to Spicer and we camped out of our boats, hiked, and caught a lot of nice fat rainbows. If you're interested, here's the link for the rest of the story on the Headwaters Kayak Fishing Team blog. http://www.headwatersfishing.blogspot.com/2013/06/spicer-kayak-camping.html

Used to be cut-throat in Spicer years ago. Anyone else ever seen any come out of there?

I've never caught any cutts up there but I have pulled some massive brookies out of that lake. They are aggressive.

Fun report!
Were those Jackson's you used? What did you end up bringing with you (a packing list would be great)? What do you find most useful on kayak camping trips?

That large, second fish from the left looks like it could be a hybrid.

I caught several hybrids a couple weekends ago in an area where I didn't know they existed.  In fact, I didn't know they were cuts until I turned them upside down to put them on the stringer.

BTW, very nice trip and report!
