It can be rigged on a piece cutting board fastened to your kayak too. I'm sure many ways can be figured out. You interested? I can bring it to TRW.

I might be, but even with your description, not sure if its front or rear mounted, if it will cause interference with paddle or fishing gear, create undesired drag - hence the request for a photo to see how its mounted. 

Ideally, I am hoping to have my FF & transducer hooked up and working before TRW.   

Most people mount them out in front of their paddle stroke. It will make a little noise going through the water. Also will collect kelp if you go through it. That is why it is designed to be raised up. I will find some in use pics and post. It won't create any noticeable drag.

Same as this one accept what I have has no plate attached. Just the arm. You can use cutting board from Walmart for the plate.

The video says remove while paddling. Ignore that part. Just put it far enough up you don't hit it.

This is one of those things that looks so simple and useful you wonder why everyone doesn't have one?

That being said, any rod I fish with has an unhealthy attraction to transducer and transducer mounts, I would totally hang up on anything I leave over the side, my transducer is inside the hull for simple self-defense.
