Have to give Craig credit for the inspiration on my new hauler.
Purchased a small trailer from Lowe's (pic on line showed a solid floor) so I haggled them down to $375 from $450, and got them to throw in a piece of wood for the floor ;0)
Had a friend of mine add some extra hight to the sides and a shelf in the front. While we were at it, we designed an extendable tung. Sent it to another bud and had the whole thing powder coated. Posted here on NCKA that I was looking to trade or purchase a set of Thule bars and Crossroad mounts (scored both ... FREE)
Got to love NCKA ... Thanks Guys.
Here is the final pics of my $400 yak hauler

Thanks again Craig

I saw that trailer. It is really nice Eric. The powder coating is awesome. Great work.

I am in the process of building a kayak trailer from a Harbor Freight 4x8 trailer.  Can you describe how you built the extendable tongue.
