The first impression is it looks fat, and that translates too slow.

Bushy

No need to be coy Bushy.

In a week, Bushy, myself, and 3 NW Pro Staffers (Brian Steves, Mark Veary, and Scott Brenneman) will be doing a 4 day float down the John Day River in Oregon.  We'll have a professional photographer along, trying his best to make us look pretty.  We'll also have the NW sales rep as well as 2 guys from Scotty, who are also supporting this trip.  The John Day River has National Wild and Scenic designation.  We'll be floating through the canyonland portion of the river, with supposedly the best fishing.  And the fishing by all accounts can be lights out.  We have a friend who just floated this section and was having 2 hour mid-morning sessions of 30+ smallmouth each day.  We have another friend who just got off the river further upstream.  He estimated 200+ smallmouth in 4 days.  Now most of these are small 12-15" so well be working the ultralights, but we expect enough 18" and up to keep things interesting.

#cayonkayakbassin will help you follow along and http://canyonkayakbassin.tumblr.com/ .  We'll have regular updates over the next week so check in often.

Which also translates to stable.  There is this whole genre of kayaks made for bassamerica.  This is one of them.  Standup and fish!

Living the dream Allen. Have fun with the new boat. We went ahead and ordered 6 of these Predators to check out and see how they shake out compared to our Jackson's. should see them early to mid July. As always we will have free demos for any NCKA member interested in checking one out.
